Court documents suggest that jealously might have been at play in the slayings Wednesday night of a rural Granby woman and her 18-month-old daughter.

Newton County authorities allege that Michael J. Vincent, 40, stabbed his girlfriend, Tammy Mahan, 36, to death and suffocated his 18-month-old daughter, Faithanne Vincent, at their trailer home in rural Granby.
