ARTHUR HEGEWALD, 78

Art was born in New Albany on August 5th, 1945 and died in Panama City, Florida on August 29th, 2023 from complications related to his ALS diagnosis.

Art graduated from Wabash College, and served 3 years in the Peace Corp on Ifalik, an island in Micronesia.  His career was with the Department of Corrections in Indiana and he retired after his 40 year of service.

Art enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.  He is survived by his wife Linda, son Spencer, and daughter Morgan, 2 sisters, and a brother, and grandchildren.
