John died on January 27 at Floyd Memoriah Hospital following a battle with throat cancer. His funera was January 31st at St. Mary's of the Knobs Catholic Church. John leaves a wife Marietta, a son Rob and daughter Alys, and three grandsons.
I will miss seeing John around town. He was a great guy and a great teacher. Taught both of my boys and they thought he was pretty cool. We always had a lot of fun at the reunions. I will miss you John, as many of your classmates will. I was blessed to call you my friend. Claudia
