If you figure out enough to write the book... give a copy to my brother. And since my brother has (inadvertently) become tonight's subject, I just figured out tomorrow's song of the day.

Good morning all... as I said last night, the discussion about my brother has inspired my choice for song of the day today.

Enjoy!

Murph- Your GH knowledge is impressive, but what's going on now baby? Did you know Anna's daughter Robin (HIV positive) is carrying Dr. Noah Drake's sons baby? Yes, the same Dr. Noah Drake played by none other than Rick Springfield! I love being in sales....leaves plenty of time to keep up with the soaps.

Last nights board was pretty damn funny. I've been giggling for 20 minutes now. Even had to pull up itunes and have The Smiths playing in the background.

Happy Football Day!

Mike T - I don't think it'll be a very happy football day here in Cincy.

Good Sunday Morning, all.

Great song, Jenn!

I don't know if last night's postings were funny or just really, REALLY disturbing. I'll go with funny...

Jeff - I thought of you last night. Walking down Bourbon St, I saw a guy wearing a Tshirt that said "Boobies make me happy".

No one mentioned the most important game yesterday...UofM LOST to Toledo? bwahahaha

Morning Lis! Do anything fun on Bourbon Street last night?

10/12/08 10:57 AM #453

Lisa Miller (Shedlock)

Truthfully, now that I'm a "local", I don't spend much time on Bourbon Street. However, on our way to the cool bars, we like to start with a stroll down Bourbon to see all the goofy tourists begging for beads and drinking the "3-for-1"s. Actually, that part is pretty cool, as long as you don't mind the cheap stuff.

Jennifer...very funny. I'm sure Mike would just love to know that he's being talked about on here. I ran into him in 2006. He was working as a regional manager (i think) of Potbelly. Mike's a great guy, I hope to see him at the reunion.

Jeff & Joe....First off no comment on your rantings last night. Be sure to drink alkaseltzer this morning. Speaking of New Orleans, what was the name of the local bar near Ginny's old pad. That place had a killer juke box and a barber chair. Roy's? Ray's? I was in New Orleans last year for work. I drove around looking for it but couldn't find it. I wish I knew Lisa was there at the time.

Mike - my brother will be at the reunion and he's still with Potbelly.

Hey Mike - That was Ray's Boom Boom Room...on the corner of Esplanade and Decatur. It was Ray Mancini's place. They have since moved into the Marigny (just outside the Quarter, but still walkable), and is still an awesome locals hangout! They took the juke box with them (left the barber chair behind) but they more specialize in live music now, and its great!

I've got a funny story that may bring Steve Lapinsky out of the shadows if he is lurking on this site.
Back in 2000, Jeff, Joe, Steve and I (along with some other friends)went to New Orleans to see the Lion's season opener against the Saints. I could fill a page with details but I'll skip to the most memorable story of the trip. On Saturday night, most of us were done partying around 2am. Steve went on a bender and stayed out all night. Sunday morning we found Steve and dragged him to the Superdome. Steve was quiet and still feeling the effects of the prior evening. He bought a footlong hot dog to try to regain some energy. He spent five minutes loading it with chili, mustard and onions. Joe and I found our seats and watched as Steve carefully walked the steps to our seats holding his footlong with two hands. Just as he reached the seats, he tripped on the last step and proceeded to wrap the footlong around his face (ear to ear). He left the hot dog on the ground and sat down without saying a word. I was not sure if I should laugh or feel bad for him so I sat quietly. Joe did the same and passed Steve a napkin. Ahhhh Good friends. There comes a point when words are not needed.

Jeff-- Great General memory. I remember watching it with my sister Lynn in about our fifth grade when Luke and Laura were on some island trying to stop a snow making machine. Weird. The show and me for watching and remembering!

Hey there, did we ever get the park situation sorted out for the football game on Saturday of the reunion weekend?

What good friends not to laugh at Steve. I started laughing reading your story and my hubby came in the den to find out what was so funny. I'm sure Steve didn't think so. You and Joe should win a prize...

Good morning Tars. I need something relaxing today, so today's song is by The Damned from their 1986 album "Anything". While I love so much of their music, I'm posting their cover of Enrico Morricone's 1967 "Alone Again Or". I always found The Damned's version of this song to be so moving. And it was such a departure from their usual goth/punk stuff.

Heidi Gipprich (Baldwin!)

HERE I AM!!!!!

I got married Friday! YAY!

Thank you ALL for your kind words and wishes :):):)

All went pretty smooth, but my mother was there so there is always a catch ;)

We had a beautiful ceremony in a park and then reception at an English pub, the food was great!

My cake was pink and black, sorta goth! With a day of the dead cake topper of a bride and groom. A friend made it for me, I had no idea what it would look like and it was perfect! And delicious, chocolate cake with cherry chocolate filling, yummers. We stayed Friday night at a kick ass boutique hotel and I finally lost my virginity!

So then Saturday I had my season championship game... We lost. I took many hits for the team and sacrificed myself to the extent that I think I sprained or tore my ACL (again). Taking girls out and myself with them, into the crowd, it was a helluva show. The officiators were horrible. It seems that 3 year champions (my team) are the only ones getting penalties. That sucked as the other team was dirty as all get out. Anyway, I'm just glad it's over and so is my swollen knee!

Today we are back to work, now saving for our honeymoon cruise, although we received some good cash gifts at the wedding for a great headstart!

And Yay! I won 88 vs. 08? SWEET! Cuz I'm freakin' broke after all the wedding expenses!

Thank you Jeff Murphy!!!!!!

Heidi - Congrats on having a great wedding day. Sorry about the knee. And congrats on winning the 88vs08 challenge! :)
