Haven't resolved the football game location yet. Jim Belt, were you looking into something in that regard. My memory is slipping.

Hey all time's getting close. Could you please start to send checks. They will need a deposit soon.

I did speak with Hoffard. If we want to use the old field we can. Just no alcohol. After a long night at the reunion and going to the pump after THE GAME we may not need any more alcohol anyway. We are not as young as we think. We do not need any permits or deposits for the old field.

The pavilion at 24 and Baker may need a deposit. He did mention something about returning the money if there is no damage. But he has not gotten back to me about this. I will call him again tomarrow. The New Baltimore park would need money plus a non refundable deposit. At the NB park there is really not enough room for a game. Let me know what everyone thinks.

Jim, haven't you heard of the hair of the dog? ;)

Jimmy, don't worry about our livers or potential hangovers,we can deal with that in our own way, beer is the nectar of the gods and how is one to play football without beer. Please locate a field, if you line it up we will come!!!

Ok Jim, which field is the old field?

Also - what time on Saturday for the game?

Carl Pesta (M Pesta)

I really think people want to have a few drinks during the game on Saturday....? Should we use the place where it is legal, or risk it??

I really like the idea of playing on the same field we use to destroy the competition on...kinda. But at the same time, I do enjoy a fine pilsner (PBR) while playing old man touch football. I say we risk it !!! Damn the law...

The NB Rec opens at 9am. I will call and see what I can find out.

Good morning kids! Lots of activity on the board this morning...

It's time for the song of the day. I wanted something more upbeat, weird and fun this morning so I'm going with "Big Lizard in My Backyard" by the Dead Milkmen from their 1985 album Big Lizard in My Backyard.

Sorry there isn't a real video for the song.

Respnse back from NB Rec. The pavilion at 24 and Baker is $75 for a deposit and you recieve $50 back after the rental. They do not anticipate anyone using it on the 29th. We would get the pavilion for the entire day. Should we do it?

Mike Theut,
I love that story about Lipinsky (sp?) wrapping the hot dog around his face. I am at work and I have to control my laughter before I cause a disturbance. Man that is funny. I know someone that got hit by a hot dog in the face while in a pool. They have no idea where it came from either. So much fun to be had with the tube steaks. No offense boys.
So how many people are staying at the Book Cadillac? Should we call and have them put all the rooms together? Just a thought. Where can we party after the reunion? I spoke with Eric Drummond and he was inquiring about the rooms. Thoughts????

Wow, I go away for the weekend and everyone goes wild posting to the forum. Took the family up to Victoria, BC and had a good time (except the exchange rate is bad). I ran the Victoria half marathon and my 3 year old son ran the 1.2km kids run...and he beat a lot of older kids. If you want to visit a nice Canadian city on the west coast be sure to see Victoria...very nice and not as modern and busy as Vancouver.

Tracy, thanks for your service and congrats on your upcoming retirement from the Navy. I knew a guy in the Navy (environmental engineer) that, like you, had never served on a ship. There are people in the Army that have never served in a field unit so it is about the same I guess. Since I did not come on active duty until 1994 after I finished college and grad school I have a while before I can retire.

I had the NHL Center Ice package a few years ago and really liked it. The biggest problem was that the Wings games come on at 4:30pm here so unless I remember to record them I only get to watch the last period. I used to think my 42" plasma TV and home theater system was impressive but then I hear about people with 5 TVs in one room and it puts me to shame. Still, I will be sad when we move next summer and I have to give up our converted back bedroom that serves as a combo home theater and computer gaming room. My wife calls it "The Cave" since I go in there and emerge hours later.

I vote for the "House that Campbell Built". Also known as the football field behind the junior high.....or at least the junior high we all knew and loved. After Meldrum and Killer keep us up all night drankin' and Schwab keeps us up all night listening to 80's music, we roll the dice saturday that there won't be too much alcohol at the football game. For those that choose to drink, maybe bring a nice large cup. Keep things discreet. If it's okay for us to be on the field isn't there a good chance we'll be left alone? As long as Ringel leaves his beer-bong in the trunk, we should be in the clear. Plus, would it be a true high school reunion if we weren't a little scared about the cops showin up?

If it's 10 degrees or less, we'll throw two passes and head for the Pump.

I'm thinking we start the reunion parade about Noon. The parade route will be from Meldrum's room at the Book, straight out 94 to New Baltimore. Feel free to decorate your cars and minivans. Any and all float parties will be held at the Belt house. What do you think Juice, can you and Dustin round up the hungover boys for a 1pm kick-off?

Someone needs to bring a video camera.....can't wait to see the 38 year old kick line at the half.

Jimmy- check your roster. We've had a lot of newbies join the site since our draft. We might need to add some players. I think you're on the clock.

P.S. Johnny - which teams did we "destroy" on Greg McCown Field at Tars Stadium? Don't seem to recall many blowouts......by the home team.

Mike, is that the field by the old Junior High and Middle School?

10/14/08 01:33 PM #488

Jennifer Schwab

Ooops, sorry Mike missed your first post.

Speaking of music at the reunion, are having a dj? Because I have no way to play music other than my laptop. And unfortunately it's a work-owned laptop so I don't think I'll be risking it.

Mike, considerate it done and Dustin can man the video camera and guard the coolers during the game, the old mans knees are not what they used to be.....so after both sides run a few series each, then we have the half time show then maybe have one more half time show then off to the pump!!! please clarify if I am incorrect.

Official Game Rules -

Halftime occurs after the first touchdown is scored, unless that takes more than four plays.

Every beer/cocktail finished by said team counts as one point, three if the drink is slammed, shotgunned, or has been lit on fire. Beer-bongs are good for two, so Ken, cleanout the holes.

And since Designated Drinker has been added as a position, I'd like to draft Chris Meldrum.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but we had to cancel the half time performance due to lack of people willing to make fools of themselves. So, rather than dance at half time, we can perform CPR and other first aid related services.

Hello Everyone

I'm looking forward to the reunion game !!November 29th is my wifes birthday, where else would she rather be!!
I'm sure the game is going to cost me "Shopping" money.

Hey Toast, like the name of the football field!!

Suggestion: Maybe Dustin Maki could bring some of our old football tapes to the Town Pump, so we can relive some of our old memories.

I promise I will let someone else score at least one touchdown....Ha Ha

Carl I'll send you a check tomorrow .
