Hey Bob,

Are you sure you want me to "guard" the coolers. My knees aren't so bad I can't open the cooler and drink all your beer. Diane, what do you mean no halftime performance? That's the only reason I was going to show up.

Ok. I guess it’s about time I join in with the discussions.

CPR by the dance team… Wow Joey isn’t that what we always wanted back then. That might be better than the dance at half time. Wait, damn I’m married… Oh well there are others that can get involved.

Kelli S. – Yes, Kim and I will be at the reunion. She said she thinks Larry needs company as she knows you and I will be talking to everyone. I will have to make other arrangements for our “Dads and Sons hunting trip up north”. Is Mitchell joining the team this year? Sign-up are on Monday.

Chris G. I’m also a vet. All Reserves however, I was activated during Operation Dessert Storm. My last night home was spent at the Pesta and friends party house at MSU. I spent the whole time in Okinawa, Japan, Korea and the Philippines. When I was in the Philippines Mt. Pinatubo erupted. That was a crazy time. We went 96 hours of complete darkness. No electricity and over 200 earth quakes a day. We also were hit by a typhoon during the 96 hours. Ash that was falling from the sky was so heavy it collapsed building and then we had to go on rescue mission. We closed down the base as we left, nothing left to stay for. I also spent time in Norway. Not military but about five years ago I took a wrestling team to Belarus and Russia for 18 days. What a great trip. I learned how to drink Vodka like the pros. If anyone ever gets to take a trip to St. Petersburg it is worth the trip, they have Northern cruises to that area.

I was on Guam when Mt. Pinatubo(sp?) erupted, did you evacuate through Guam, Earl?

10/14/08 11:34 PM #497

Earl Schutt

Heidi, No we went back to Okinawa, Japan. We had to go by Ship; runways were gone. Congratulations on you marriage.

It's time for the song of the day. I wanted something fun this morning so I'm going with "She's a Beauty" by the Tubes from their 1983 album Outside Inside.

The video is some amazing awful 80's-ness.

Yes, Dustin, we unfortunately had to cancel the performance. Not enough volunteers. UNLESS....you would like to show off some knee and get out there with us. If you're willing to join us, then it's back on. I would pay to see that.

Anyone interested in seeing Dustin shake some tailfeather in a short skirt?

Regardless, CPR is still part of the halftime entertainment.

Earl, sounds like you had more excitment in the Pacific than most of the people in Saudi during Desert Storm. Thanks for your service. These days being in the Reserves is probably more difficult than active duty since both deploy often but Reservists also have to put a civilian career on hold to do it.

While I was in Afghanistan the big earthquake hit Pakistan and I got to fly down there to assist. Most of my time was spent dealing with sanitation and life support issues for our base camps at Pakistani air bases so I was not visiting the worst areas. I did get to visit the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad so that was interesting.

I'm out, I think I just threw up in my mouth thinking of Dustin dancing or showing any part of himself, thanks for the visual Dianne. On the other hand, CPR halftime show, I'm in, are we taking numbers or we get our turn when we truely drop from the physical stupidity. Dustin, cooler captain yes, dancing no!!!!!

High School Memory: Sitting in Mr. McDonald's U.S. Government class when someone asked for free legal advice for when they got caught by the police smoking pot. Mr. McDonald got this look as if fire was going to shoot from his eyes and said, "You want free legal advice? Retain competent counsel!" Then he began muttering something under his breath....too funny.

Jen, perfect song choice.

Earl, You know Larry and I are relieved. I can't imagine the night w/out you and Kim.
Can you believe Mitchell's weasling out of wrestling again? He says he'll probably do it next year. (Basketball sucks!)

I'm not sure if you all realize what Earl does for the kids in Clinton Township. He introduces them to the ultimate sport of wrestling. Then, he gets many, my son included, to regional and state championships.

Morning all... today is kind of a rainy gloomy day in Cincinnati. So today's song is a little bit melancholy but still has a great beat. So hopefully it will help me ease into a hectic day. It's Book of Love's "Boy" from their 1986 self-titled album.

Boy it's a quiet Thursday night on the board. Just to liven things up... random song to get the Red Wings motivated since they obviously weren't tonight:

Metallica's "Seek and Destroy":

Does this song remind anyone else of partying out in Green St. woods?

Good morning kids. I just got to see Kim Deal and the Breeders last night! I was so excited. She's so amazing. So in honor of her early days in music, here's a little Pixies to start off the day. "Where is My Mind" from their 1988 album Surfer Rosa.

Where is my mind?

Heidi Gipprich (Baldwin!)

Kim Deal is with the Breeders now or played with the Breeders?

10/17/08 01:35 PM #508

Jennifer Schwab

The Breeders played here last night. I just mentioned Kim separately because I wanted to tie the song of the day in with her. Her voice is so fantastic.

Good morning... anybody out there? I was half tempted to post Pink Floyd's "Is there anybody out there?" but it's a nice chill Saturday morning so I'm posting some George Clinton. Here's "Atomic Dog" from his 1982 album Computer Games.

What an awesomely awful video. :)

Good Morn all! I fell off the face of the earth for a minute. Just wanted to let you all know I will not be attending the reunion anymore. Things have changed hugely for me. I left Matthew in a quick way, had to. I am in hiding due to the reasons I left him. I am safe and fine hwever and very sad. I don't have much access to a puter so my response to emails will be short or nill. Doesn't mean I dont love you all. My email is s_dort@yahoo.com if anyone wants to keep in touch.

Roseann Constantine (Backers)

happy birthday mike..

10/19/08 11:13 AM #513

Stephanie... I'm sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to seeing you. Please let me know if you need anything. You have a lot of people who are here for you if you need us. Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing so that we don't worry. My thoughts are with you. Take good care of yourself.

Oddly enough, I had planned to post The Church's "Reptile" as the song of the day today.

But I think something more empowering is called for now. This song helped me a lot when I was in a really bad situation with a really bad guy a long time ago. So I'm posting Judas Priest's "You Got Another Thing Coming".

Steph, Your rekindled mates can quickly get you a ticket to Michigan, and a ticket to the reunion. It's on us. contact me, or post if you would take us up on that.

Morning all. Here's the song of the day... no real story behind it, just always liked it. The Beat (or the English Beat as they were known here) with "Too Nice To Talk To" from their 1983 album What is Beat.

10/20/08 09:49 PM #517

Carl Pesta (M Pesta)

Woah, what happened to everyone?

10/20/08 10:20 PM #518

Jennifer Schwab

I don't know Carl, I think I just saw tumbleweeds roll by.
