My sons peewee hockey team plays Robin Furness Peewee team on Wednesday. I hope we have a good game.

Good luck Sarah! I love watching the PeeWee's play. They're so cute.

Hey Joey - Let me know what happened on 90210 - I missed it this week. Mike Thompson usually gives me the updates, but he missed it too (sorry buddy, I'm outing you as a fellow fan).

Also, if MSU beats Penn State, wouldn't they be coming to New Orleans for some Sugar?

Lisa, your post made me think of the song of the day. Today's song is "Lips like Sugar" by Echo and the Bunnymen.

Lisa,
that would be great. I am planning on going to the Spartans bowl game. It's rare they play on New Years Day.

Carl - Sadly, its rare they play in a Bowl game...

Jenn - That's one of my favs!

I found my favorite movie clip from the 80's. I liked Sean Penn's work when he was younger. Unfortunately, he has the common sense of a 5 year old. It wouldn't have hurt my feelings if his plane went down on the way to his meeting w/Saddam Hussein (as long as you weren't driving Jeff)

I know I'm an overly sensitive person but I find it crushingly sad to think that someone could wish for someone's death simply because they disagree with them or don't like their point of view. So today's song is a slight departure. It's a newer cover of an old Tears for Fears song "Mad World" done by Gary Jules.

On a much lighter note... here's some clips from one of the best movies of all time Grosse Pointe Blank. Let's hope there's a few less gun fights at our reunion and zero stabbings with ballpoint pens. :)

Lisa,

- Annie and Ethan decided to keep their relationship a secret from Naomi.

- Harry and Debbie informed the Kid's (Annie & Dixon) about Harry's "Love Child" with Naomi's Mom. The kids acted like kids and were deeply offended that dad did not tell them for two months after finding out. Annie is freaked out but Naomi makes several sister cracks.

- Adrianna is being watched by Kimberly (the undercover police officer/student) who is also now hanging/sleeping with Ryan "Mr. Duncan" (the Teacher).

- Needing to get away, Annie and Naomi have a slumber party at Silver's house while Kelly is away. They proceed to get drunk and just as the girls are "switching shirts" (I'm not kidding, the producers, men I'm sure, work out a scene where the girls trade the shirts they are wearing), Dixon and friends show up and a wild party commences. At the party Annie tells Ethan that they have to tell Naomi about their relationship (they don't), Adrianna tries to seduce Ty (he turns her down), the undercover tries to bust Adrianna (Doesn't) and winds up hooking up with Ryan (after the party is broken up and is seen by a student (George). Annie Pukes. Harry shows up to drag her home.

I hope that will catch you up.

Joe - Adrianna tried to hook up with the nerdy guy, not Ty. WOuldn't want Lisa to be lost tomorrow night. And Lisa, Mr. Duncan has been suspended for hooking up with the student/NARC officer.

But on to more important things.......I just spent the last 2 hours watching Anchor Bay vs. LCN, Septemeber 11, 1987. VHS tape recorded on Harron Cable. Priceless!
A few high or low lights if you will.....
1) Down goes McCown, down goes McCown!
2) For 20 years I thought I missed the block on that play. I now have video evidence, it wasn't me! F'ing Stinson!
3) We didn;t have a marching band for like 3 or 4 years?? No memory of that. They played a great fight song at the half.
4) Speaking of the half, dance team was HOT! Okay, some may say cheesy, but I'm sticking with HOT. You all did this fabulous move where you put your hands togther as if praying and then repeatedly thrust them into the air. Who came up with that?
5) Did anyone own a "Racool" light up jacket? It was one of four commercials played on the broadcast.
6) Of Carl's completions, all but one were to me. ANd that's why he's on my team for the reunion game! You can;t stop that Belt!
7) Scott Steiner had a 61 yard punt and a 51 yard punt!
8) Phyllis Killer is much more bad-ass than anyone who played on our football team.

and finally, Murph, we still love ya!!

Thanks Mike for that correction. What is that guy's name?

Don't anyone tell me what's going on with Gossip Girl. I Tivo it and watch it on Tuesdays.

11/10/08 11:08 PM #759

Michael Thompson

No clue on the name. Love the show though!

11/10/08 11:14 PM #760

Do you watch Gossip Girl? It's the best show on TV

11/10/08 11:16 PM #761

Never seen it.

Good game tonight, eh? Couldn't care less who wins...and no fantasy ramifications, but still an entertaining game.

Joseph Ales

You have to start watching it. If you do I can catch you up. As for the game, I agree. I have no interests either but a good game for sure.

It's me again, the joykiller (just kidding Jennifer) Here's a blast from the past. The first video Metallica made. I saw these guys at the Monsters of Rock tour at the Silverdome along with The Scorpions, Dokken, Van Halen and Kingdom Come. I still remember all the hair flying around from the headbangers when these guys came on!

Joe/Mike - THANKS for catching me up :-) The guy who likes Adrianna is Navid. And if she hooked up with Ty, I'd be pissed. He's way too good for her. And the teacher is Mr. Matthews, not Duncan. Now we have all that straight, I'm set for tonight's episode :-D

Never seen Gossip Girl. I can't wait for Damages and 24 to start again though!

Is anyone else out there obsessed with Twilight? If you have a teenage daughter, or are a teenager at heart like me, you have read the books. All I can say is Rob Pattinson is so effen hot. Does that make me a cougar? meow...

Lisa, if you saw Gossip Girl you'd probably be hooked. I've only seen it a few times but I think if you love 90210, this would be right up your alley.

Good morning all. Today's song of the day is inspired by all the football talk. Remember back in the 80's when the Lions were using Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" as their theme song. Lol. They should still use it but only apply it to themselves.
