Mary Franks Laura you would laugh your butt off if you saw this video. i don't remember your talent either at the moment. and yes you would see tons of familiar faces. i was trying to see how many names i could recall before the announcer would say it. ha!

Laura Ward (Ward) I know it wasn't singing as my talent... None of my family members are good at that. lol. I think it was probably twirling the baton. Lea Bugbee and I led the Bay Rama parade one year twirling the baton. I wonder if Lea was in that pageant?? She was a better twirler than I. That's why she was captain of the Michigan Mariners.

Laura Ward (Ward) If Lea was in it, then possibly Cathy Chilcott or Delayne Brown. I know that Laurie Thompson was there. I bet that video is a crack up. I think I still have my sash. How 'bout you??

Control was really good but I thought it was funny what Stephen Morris said about it: "None of it's true really," but he acknowledged the need for bending some facts because "the truth is too boring".

Laura Ward (Ward) I don't remember which "Miss" I was. Might have been Belleville. I'll have to dig it up. There's got to be probably a dozen girls from our class in that pageant.

Mary Franks thanks jen :-) yeah laura there's a bunch of people from our class. wish i could post a clip but it's on VHS, of course. though my dad probably has it converted already.

Jeffrey Murphy well... i dont know about truth... the point of control was more from his wifes writings and perspectives and i am sure we all see truth differently from our own eyes... i could blabber on about my divorce and my ex could read it and say that none of it was true... but im not going to... goodmorning!

Thanks for the info. I'm so glad that he's coming. Tim and I are staying at the Book, as well as several others, I believe, so he will certainly know people there.
I'm really looking forward to it. Minus the 12 hour drive on Tuesday:-)
Speaking of Miss Bay-o-Rama...if I recall correctly - and my memory is not what it once was - I got a really bad perm right before it and I spent the entire time just praying for it to be over!!!

Amy that's hilarious!! And Lisa and Amy - I think you may be off the hook! I'm searching and searching the memory banks and I don't remember the two of you. So I'm quite sure that it was a different year!?!?! (now I'm gonna have to go watch it again!) Whew!!! So Lisa, no bribery needed!

Carl - you ain't kidding baby, about the outfits last night! ha! I saw a hundred Madonna-wanna-be's dressed in every era of her life, I even saw a "like-a-virgin" outfit. All the white lace and stuff, bow in her hair. too funny. Yeah, the crotch-shots...she really loves her body doesn't she?? I guess she has the right, she looks great! Although she's almost a litte TOO muscular I think.. where were your seats??

The year that the video was from was Jerry Richards - Queen Raquel Olcese Tammy Russell Stacy Hindman And some blonde girl.. sucked being at the bottom of the float...I got hit by all the silly string from the brat kids during the parades...haha! (oh did I say that? Totally kidding!!!)

Laura Ward (Ward) I frankly don't know what the hell I was thinking... The mom's loved it. I remember that. I don't know how I got talked into it. I didn't have much self-esteem nor did I fit the float mold.

Christopher Gellasch I was just trying to be funny with the "Miss Fishfly" comment. Didn't know people actually used that term. My favorite thing about fishflies as a kid was riding my bike over them and hearing the popping sounds as their dead (or dying) bodies exploded.
