Thanks Joe. I need more good Murphy stories to tell him about. His memory kind of blows when it comes to him.

Chris - I'm with you - I cannot get to Facebook while I'm at work - and when I get home from work I am still on the go. When does life start to slow down a little?????

Yeah I already told the firewall people that they should turn it back on. We all had a good laugh.... Even my company laptop is hindering me from doing anything fun. Horrible.

Interesting programming decision for the hour before the superbowl. The NFL network is airing the 2009 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Swimsuit Special.

Besides multi-viewers like me, who are they expect to be watching?

I woke up this morning at 4:01 AM to the feel of my house shaking and my wife said she thought it was the wind or maybe a tree falling, but I said no way that felt like an earthquake. She said I was crazy. now I now its ben a while since I have lived in California but I still remember what an earthquake feels like. So I check the news and find this article.

CHICAGO—A minor earthquake centered in a rural area about 40 miles northwest of Chicago struck in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 3.8-magnitude quake could be felt as far away as Ohio and Missouri, said Julie Dutton, a geophysicist with the agency.

No damage or injuries were reported, she said, although the USGS did receive 10,000 reports from people who felt the quake. The agency estimated as many as 11 million people felt light shaking. She said the earthquake likely wasn't strong enough to generate any waves on nearby Lake Michigan.

The earthquake was thousands of times weaker than the devastating temblor that struck Haiti last month. "They are really not two quakes that you can compare easily," she said.

Ms. Dutton said there had been three other minor earthquakes in the area since 1985.

Is this crazy or what, A blizzard and an Earthquake on the same day. Love the Midwest.

Joe-

First time on in a long time. Just thought I would say hi, so you did not feel so alone. First snow day on the 10th and loved calling in to work to spend time out with the boys.

Joey-

You mind if I chime in on the Joe Ales message board?

First and foremost....who won the Amazing 88 Fantasy Football League?

Second, my wife was chatting on facebook with Murph. Should I be nervous about that? He's so creepy in person. Is he better online?

Third, I have 50 freaking inches of snow in my front yard. Record totals for MD. Looks like northern Michigan out here.

Fourth, I found my football practice jersey in the attic. My son is wearing it. He's in 1st grade. He's either a giant or I was MUCH smaller in high school.

Peace and bacon grease!

Nice to hear that someone is out there. I did feel like I was alone on this island.

As far as some of the answers Mike, don't worry about Jeff because A, He is too busy with his house and new baby (to be) B, I don't think he flies in to Balt/DC much, C, He makes just enough spelling error for the wife not to get to interested, D, he's old (40 in 3 days), E he's in Love (which can not be understated) and F, how could he compete with you.

Next Answer, I still remember that in 8th grade you were exactly 1 foot taller than me (6'2" versus 5'2").

Next Answer, Johny won The Inaugural title

Next Answer, Global warming (Sure)

Jim - Should have thought like this.... snow day tomorrow + Presidents day Monday = 4 day weekend.

Bugh-bye cool guy

My first Soapbox statement.

Check out The website (www.truthinlabeling.org/index.html) for some interesting information about how MSG is in a lot of the packaged foods and fast food we eat every day. I found out about two years ago that MSG was giving me chronic headaches that stopped almost immediately I eliminated MSG from my diet. It sucked because I had to give up most of the snack foods I've always loved (like Doritos and Cheetos) as well as most soups and salad dressings. MSG Sucks.

Now that I got that out of the way on to news/sports. Danica Patrick participated in her first Nascar race today (the nationwide series race) at the Daytona Motor Speedway. She crashed her car proving that women can total $100,000+ vehicles competitively just as easily as men. In other news, the NBA All-star skills competition is today and I don't think most people care. In better news The soapnet channel will be airing a marathon of the O.C., Beverly Hills 90210 and One Tree Hill on Monday (Presidents Day). What a way to spend your Bank Holiday.

In ABHS history, 22 years ago this week school was canceled on Friday 2/12/88 resulting in a nice long weekend. Jeff Murphy's 18th birthday and Valentine Day was celebrated. On Jeff’s Birthday he got a Petrol Emotion and Skinny Puppy cassette tape. Play practice for "Our Town" was in full swing. On 2/16/88 our AB Tars Basketball team lost to Potrt Huron 85-44 (ouch). And movie/music quotes on my mind included the following gems.

“Maybe she’s retarded”
"Oh, stand up and cheer”
“Take the skinheads bowling, take them bowling”

Big points to whoever can give me the music/movie the above quotes are attributed to.

Talk to you all later. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

85-44......but if I remember, that was a home game. I believe the Zuloff twins both missed dunks in the first 6 minutes.....the Tars held a 9-6 lead at that point. I fouled Jon Zuloff on a drive to the basket, he promptly hit the free throw to tie the game, and it was a long night from there on out. After I hacked the shit out of Zu, Wendell Bennett, all 6-4, 340 lbs of him laid me out on a pick. I hated that team, but man they were good.

And they had this tall brunette cheerleader.....smokin! So began my tall brunette fetish. Tell me again why I didn't date Kelli O?

Murph got married...and I got no invitation?? Bastard!

Just saw the trailer for the A-Team movie. June 11 in a theatre near you. How about we get the band back together that weekend at Murph's house and go see it at the Chesterfield Mall? Maybe get a pizza from Spinakers?

Toast-

I still have the video of that Port Huron game. We were smoked. The tight, white, short shorts looke great however. If I get a chance to copy it to DVD I will send a copy and post some of he video on the site. Have fun digging out.
