I'll defend you Mike! I almost put the book down too--he was, as my daughter used to say, "NNOT NIIICE!"

Kristi, what you need to find is the greatest male and female combination of HUGE glasses and mullet/big hair then put those pictures on an IMAX size screen for the whole class to admire!

Not even cracking open your book in World Geography took either a LOT of determination or an ample dose of apathy!
I am betting that there were more drool stains on the cover than creased pages inside!

I ran into him at Wurstfest this year. He is actually in the Bahamas or somewhere like that right now---he will get back before the reunion, but not sure he will be recovered by then. So maybe he will be at the reunion, maybe he won't.

Thanks for the book idea for my nephew, he is really an amazing young man. His positive attitude and all the prayers have made him incredibly well, so far. He set the precedence for getting out the soonest, post transplant at Cheldren's Mercy Hosp in Kansas. He is also an amazing musician, tought himself to play 7 diff inst. by ear by age 14 and composes music. There is a website for him at www.caringbridge.org enter website brandonsteffen.
Willy, Boo Boo still lives in New Braunfels. Anyone know anything about Duayne Tschoepe?

Thanks Ron and Mike!

So are all of the "fabulous four", that joined us today, going to make it?

Hey everyone! Sounds like most of you... I mean US... are still pretty good at partying and having a good time... it's in the Canyon bloodline. I'm going to brave the raging waters for the first time and go tubing with Ron and his wife. Any one else going? Golfing sounds fun but I've never been tubing. Anyone know what the head count is for Saturday? It sounds pretty small right now but I hope we can find more in the next 2 weeks. See you all then!

William,

Boo called me several times back in March, but I haven’t heard from him since. I’ve tried calling him but i haven’t been successful in reaching him. He’s been spotted at several NB watering holes, so as time permits I’ll track him down.

Those of you living in NB have you seen Boo? If you do, be sure to let him know about the reunion.

I actually talked to him a few weeks ago while on my world wide search for our classmates. I have his email and he should be receiving the info although I believe he is on a tropical island right now. And from the sound of it he was going to make many stops at the watering holes there too and said he may not be re-cooped in time for the reunion. "Hair of the dog".

I think Darrell is accurate about the drool stains on the cover. I know I slept on my high school books more than I ever read them. I turned in lots of books with low miles. I don't think I was alone either. I don't think I was the drool king, but maybe in the running.

Dwayne Tschoepe is one of my friends on Myspace. I will message him and get his email address so that I can send him the invite from here.

What about Daryl McClain? Anybody know where he is?

Would anyone be interested in setting up a jam session if the opportunity presented itself? It seems several still hold a musical talent.

By the way...I've been writing down ya'lls ideas on the '80 memorabilia and have added a few others, but I think Kristi is on vacation and I don't know how to get it posted to this site other than in the message forum. Tiffany would you know?

Let's just hope that any jam session is more Pearl Jam than toe jam!

Dwayne Tschoepe (Henry)

thanks for the heads up, Rod.

To all you former Mullet-heads - take comfort in this:
At least you didn't get yours permed "a la Kirk Cameron" like I did.

Ok, so the mullit and big hair were our fads and kinda goofy. Buttt, how 'bout the fads of today. You know the total goth people. And then there is the pants at half mast, like they are morning the loss of their ipod or something. If you know a teenager that likes this fad you might inform them that it came from prison. In prison if your are someones bi--- you wear your pants at half mast with your underwear hanging out. This lets everyone know you are taken. No first hand experience here. I read about it.

Such pessimism, Darrell....We'll get you to sing if you don't behave. For those musicians - Sounds like the Freiheit Store on Friday night if it doesn't intrude on anything else.

Ok, I give up with trying to figure out who owns the Freiheit Store as Kristi thought some might. Who is it?

08/06/08 12:31 PM #134

Any singing or attempt at anything musical by me would DEFINITELY result in a toe jam performance!

Daryl McClain? lol... that gut almost got me killed.. any luck on him?

08/06/08 12:46 PM #136

here is a good question. since everyone is going down memory lane, who was dating who during high school?? should be a good laugh..

08/06/08 12:51 PM #137

Dwayne Tschoepe since it seems you are in the film industry, what are the chances of recording the reunion and putting it on dvd for the classmates that want to be there but cant? hell i will pay for a copy!!
just a thought. :)

Willy, have you figured out if you will still be in town?

08/06/08 01:27 PM #139

Pamela Murrow (Stokem)

Rachel!!! I'm so glad you were able to figure out how to be here with all the traveling you are doing. I'm sure we can scrounge up an extra tube for you.
