Pam, are you sure they don't mean a cruise around Canyon Lake? :)

I just left a msg with Greg, but I know he's paying homage to the gods of commerce in Fla, so I don't know if he'll get it.

Does anybody know if there's still a group riding in the hill country on Saturday? I want to go, but I have a shoot that day, and I'm not sure I can make it.

If anyone else is interested in a putt on the scooters let me know. I took off friday also so I am flexible on this. Not looking for a crazy long ride( no windshield and low apehangers). A couple of hours with a break is cool for me. I know a couple of good places for lunch.

Kristi - I was asked by a former teacher if teachers were included on our festivities. Were teachers asked to be a part of our reunion, or is this only for former students? Does the school have their information, for us to contact them? It would be great to invite them to our gathering on Fri/Sat, if it's okay with everyone else. Thanks!

Yes, Becky--teachers are invited. I have passed that task off, not sure how many have been reached, but please call all that you want. I did talk with Mrs. Dry and she is planning on joining us on Friday. I had also left a couple of messages at the Herald to have them put an ad in the paper, but have not gotten a return call. Will try again on Monday and will see if they can run it all week. Thanks! I will also call Mr. Hocker--I ran into his wife along with Mrs. Meppen the other day. Left a message with Mr. Odell.

***NEW ADDITION~~~As of a few minutes ago they added a feature to allow "Guest Members". I have already added the teachers to the site. They too can add profiles now---pass the word.

Just a thought---I did not put a time down for Friday's event because I know several will be either driving in or working until 5:00 and I didn't want to rush anyone. However, they do not reserve tables at Freiheit so I would advise you get there as early as you can. And early birds can try to save a few seats for others.

They have been known for their great burgers and COLD beer!

Did anything ever come about regarding a tour of the school on Friday?

Kristi Koehler (Squires)

I can call Linda Snider in the morning. She had a hard time getting ahold of the person in charge of "Fish Camp". From the sounds of it, she thought we might be able to tag along during the "Fish camp" tour at 1:00 on Friday but that looks to be our only option(she has not cleared that with the person in charge--but I will let you know). If not, Friday's event is just around the corner from the school and it would be worth driving by the campus. As you can see from the picture, it has changed quite a bit! Linda said they have changed their policies on school tours and said it would be quite expensive to do a tour on the weekend(couple hundred bucks) we would have to pay for a couple of janitors and and someone to open~~we do not have all of the costs covered yet for Saturday's event so I am not comfortable making that commitment. Hopefully we can join them at 1:00. See you in a few days!

Hey I am getting brave in my old age and decided to go tubing on Saturday after we hook up for tacos. Anyone else going? I know Ron and his wife and Pam are. Do we need a rope to tie us together so we don't get lost? Ha. Ha. It's nice to hear everyone sounds like they can still party, although the "mornings after" are a little harder to get over in my old age. See you "Cougars" on Friday!!!

Looks like it is our lucky day! School tour at 3:15 on Friday August 15th. Please let me know who all is interested in the tour so that I can let them know how many to expect.

Rob~~you failed to mention that your prom date had the bathroom shut down at San Franscisco Steakhouse---Love ya PTA President!

Kristi-

I was trying to take the high road on the prom story....well sorta. Sorry Tracey :) Barbara is looking forward to having a few drinks with both of you. BTW Kristi, congrats on the 14er. Pretty cool isn't it? I have to fly in from Co. Friday so I'm out for the tour and maybe Friday night. Thanks again for all of your hard work setting this up!

Tom-

I ready for my once-a-year golf excursion. I may be too tired for the reunion after all of the swinging I'll have to do to finish the round.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

A special thanks to Kristi for all of the tips she provided to me and my family. The trading pins were a HUGE HIT! The 'el cheepo rain ponchos came in handy. And you gotta love the fast pass (man that really pisses some people off :-D ) The Lion King show..... And everything else I forgot. Oh, and my girls bones didn't "almost jump outa there skin" on the boat ride. :-D Of course we got that one done during daylight hours..

Just got back from an 11.5 hour run from Ocean Springs, Mississippi so I'm a tired sumB.

Who is in for a jam session? And if so where and when?

Rod? Kenny? Bueller? Bueller?

Rob~~~Well, I wasn't going to mention any names to spare her reputation. I did speak with her today to forewarn her about our conversation, but her time was limited because she was finishing the details for tonights PTA meeting. (So Trace--do they serve alcohol during the off campus meetings?) P.S. The 14er was amazing. I will post a picture.

Greg~~~ Glad you made it back safely and the hints were put to good use. How did the Vasyli's do for you?

Not only can that Mickey wear you out he can lighten the load in your pockets! So glad the girls enjoyed the pins, can't wait to hear all about the trip. Hope you get rested enough to make it this weekend. Should have gotten you a gel cushion and one for myself. I can relate to the drive. We did 19 hrs on Saturday (16 from Creede and then decided to keep going to Pleasanton to pick up a new puppy)---What were we thinking?!?

Oh, by the way~~~those letters that I found. Man did I find some dirt! I doubt many of those will make it to the reunion. I did find a few Last Will and Testiments--Tiffany left me quite a collection. Can't remember who asked about the time capsule, but it might be covered with concrete. I could not remember exactly where we buried it, but thought it was in front of the band hall. The new Churchhill Middle School is there and may have covered it. We asked around, but no one knew anything about it. Bummer!

Kim just set it up.

Kristi,
It was me that asked about the capsule and yes it was in front of band hall under about half way to the tennis courts, what a bummer

That time capsule was during middle school, and it wasn't 1 year after it had been buried that vandals destroyed it. The concret slab that was poured over it was dessimated with a large stone or a sledge hammer, leaving a huge gaping hole in the ground that Michelle Toon accidently stepped in during band camp our 7th grade year. After the gaping gash it left on her ankle, they decided it was time to pull the capsule and fill in the earth. That capsule would have been opened about 5 years ago, had it remained. Damned vandals!!

Mark,
Kim had mentioned that she thinks there may be a small jam session at Freiheit store on Friday. I am going to try to make it there, but no promises. Furthermore, I am ashamed to admit that through tough times several years ago, most of my music equipment was heisted from a storage unit. I had placed the items in that unit not three weeks before it happened, it broke my heart when I discovered that all the things I held dear were stripped away from me in one fail swoop. If that wasn't enough, when I called the police to have them document and fingerprint the crime scene, they ran a check on my ID and found that I had a warrant for an unpaid balance of $55.00 on a traffic ticket. Do you think they showed that broken hearted little man any sympathy? HELL NO, they hauled my ass off to jail, talk about salt on an open wound!!! Anyways, since then, the remaining axe that I owned and board that I shuffled on were lost in a battle of funds at the pawn shop. I have never had the chance to go back down that road since. Disheartening, I tell ya!

Kristi, I am off today if I can do anything for you, like......give you mula.
Rachel I all I know about tubing is David, Ashali and I will be going, even if no one else is brave enough to don a swim suit LOL We are plannng on breakfast and then tubing, I have no idea what the official plans are yet on meeting up or anything or if it will cost if we have our own tubes.....Ahem......RON????

Kristi - I am on it!

Rob - I too am ready for the once a year swing of the sticks. I told Tom it was so bad. I dusted the cobwebs off the clubs to hit some balls and my damn shoes fell apart half way through the bucket. This should be fun.

Okay, looks like the "toobing group" consists of me, the wife, Rachel, Mark (Morga), Pam, her daughter and husband. I say we meet up at Landa at 9:30 AM, grab some breakfast and then jump in the river. If you guys are okay with that, we can let Kitty and Heather know we're coming. Where exactly is the breakfast being held?

Sorry for the delay, I've been trying to come up with some decent bday plans for the wife. The mother-in-law splurged big time for her this past weekend, and I'm trying to at least match that while planning the trip down there.

So who is planning on attending the school tour? I'm pretty sure I'll make it (with the wife).

So if we're jamming on Friday at Freiheit does that mean that Freiheit *knows* some of us will play or that we're going to crash the karaoke party?

Who else wants to play?

In other news, I won't be able to make the school tour - stupid work!
