Nancy and I were pretty good friends. We spent time at one another's houses playing outside and by High School had a few classes in common and an afterschool activity or two. She was a delightful young woman. Her sense of humor was fabulous, and quite subtle, but she could get the zingers in too. She had the loveliest brown eyes and I never saw her look "a mess" as I generally did, her hair was combed, her clothes neat ( even playing outside!!) and her demeanor calm and relaxed. That woman always had a smile to offer, and it was a beauty. She had many varied interests, and didn't hesitate to be invoved in an activity that might have been what we now call "outside her comfort zone". Everything was a learning experience and she managed everything with great aplomb. She was brave and loyal, and as smart and kind as they come. The more recent photo of her on our site shows both her inner and outer beauty very nicely. I am sorry she and I lost touch when she moved, I am sure she would have been a good friend always. It has taken me a long time to be able to write this comment, as I am greatly saddened by her loss.
