James B Carbone

CARBONE, James B. Age 57, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 at Vandalia Park Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. He was born January 17, 1950 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Vincent & Ruth (Typanski) Carbone. Jim was a 1968 graduate of Tecumseh High School, a 1972 graduate of Wright State University and a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Prior to Jim's illness, he worked 10 years as a claims representative with the Social Security Administration. Preceded in death by his sister, Karen, Jim is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Mazzone) of Vandalia; 2 children, Jacqueline and Stephen, both at home; 1 brother, Mike Carbone; 1 sister, Sylvia Adkins; his mother-in-law, Colette Mazzone; 3 brothers-in- law, Dan Mazzone (Joanne), Dave Mazzone (Vicky), and John Mazzone; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 2, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Huntington Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Ave., Ste. 902, New York, NY 10018 or to Hospice of Dayton in Jim's memory. Jim's family would like to offer special thanks to the entire staff and the volunteers at Vandalia Park Nursing Center and also Hospice of Dayton for their kindness and care during Jim's lengthy illness.
