Richard (Rick) Estes

52, of Medway, Ohio, died at 6:45 a.m. 2002 at MiamiValley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born April 25, 1950 inDayton, Ohio, the son of Millard F and Doris (Sturtlz) Estes. Rick was a 1968 graduate of Tecumseh High School, a graduate of ICB, and was the voice of Kil-Kare Speedway for seven years. For many years he was the Deputy Registrar for Xenia and  was involved with many Xenia community organizations, such a s Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Old Fashion Days, and participated in local theatre and politics. In a addition to his father and step-mother, Millard and Charlotte Estes, he is survived by his wife. Evelyn “Evvie” Estes; two sisters, Lois (tom) Goldsberry and Sandra (Mark) Coppess; step-sister, Cassie (steve0 Davis; step-brothers, Coby and Jeff Stover; special niece, Vikki (Robert) Rife; mother-in-law Delores (Mike) Hausman; father-in-law Royce (Evelyn) Miller; sisters-in-law, Elaine (Sean) McMichael and Edwina (Scott) Hanson; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris and his first wife, Vickye. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at FaithCommunity United Methodist Church, 100 Country Club Drive, Xenia, Ohio with Pastor Jack Drodge officiating. Interment will follow Woodland Cemetery in Xenia. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the TROSTEL, Chapman & CHRISTMAS FUNERAL HOME, 507 West Jefferson Street, New Carlisle, Ohio.
