Don was a neighborhood friend and one of my best friends growing up in Mokena. He will be missed. A great athlete and a nice guy to all. Despite his size, he was a teddy bear to others. Will miss him.
Don was my Homecomihg date our freshman year of school. He had his cousin drop us off at the school. He had the best personality and everyone loved him. I can't believe that he passed away. Donald W. Jones, age 43 of Greeley, Colorado formerly of Loveland Colorado and Mokena Illinois, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Loving son of Carolyn (Carl) Banther and Jesse (Sheilda) Jones; beloved brother of aDarla (fiancée Steve Hale) Jones and Deborah Jones; dearest nephew of Karen (Bill) Yaeger, Marcia (late Gene) Field, Beatrice Jones, Glenn (Ro) Field, Gene (Martha) Jones and Jimmy (Charlotte) Jones; proud uncle of Joey Gray and many cousins. Donald played football at Colorado State University and was an avid outdoorsman. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral service Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the funeral home chapel at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Mokena
