Our Link In The Chain (LITC) committee met today (9/18/26) with the 2030 Class Council (President, V-P, Treasurer, Secretary). Interestingly, all four came to CGA through the scholars prep program - three at Georgia Military College and one at UMASS Boston. All four were very impressive and had some clear ideas on what they want to accomplish at CGA and in the Coast Guard. They are clearly excited about the LITC program. Also on the call were Laura Holveck from the Alumni Association and the two class advisors. LT Alexis Laskowski is an instructor in civil engineering. SKCM David Knapp got his MBA through the Coast Guard and is an instructor in management.
A key topic we covered was communication between the two classes. Hard copy U.S. mail doesn't seem to be a preferred method, but they all do have cadet mailboxes. If you would like to write to them in the blind, I moved the instructions and list of CGA 2030 mailbox numbers to the end of the Link In The Chain tab on this site. Although they don't have social media access, the cadets can use email and phones for text, calls, FaceTime, etc. A great way to communicate with current cadets as well as alumni is the Bears Supporting Bears Network. If you are not already part of that, you can join here: https://cgaalumnibearsnetwork.org/
