"Bert Allen Roseberry. Born May 11, 1958 at Arlington hospital, Arlington Virginia. died early Monday morning August 7 2023 in Weeki Wachi, Florida following a second major stroke int he last six weeks.  Bert haad just moved to Florida in late 2022 after residing on Signal Hill in Manassas for much of his life. 

Bert was a graduate of Osbourn High School, Class of 1976, participating in numerous activities including co-host of the Junior Class Talent Show, Boys State, and Key Club.  He attended the U.S. Coast Guard Acadmey and following graduation in 1980 served as an officer aboard the USCGC Taney out of Portsmouth, VA. He later served in the District 8 Coast Guard Headquarters in New Orleans.  Bert's post-officer career with the Coast Guard was primarily spent at TISCOM in Alexandria, VA, where he enjoyed his work and colleagues until retiring in 2018.  

Bert is remembered by family, friends and coleagues as a smart, caring sweet person, known for his mentoring skills, and his ever-ready wit and humor. 

Arrangements for a celebration of Bert's life will be forthcoming. "

ROSEBERRY 

BERT ALLEN ROSEBERRY 

Died Monday, August 7, 2023, in Spring Hill, FL. Bert was a near life-long resident on Signal Hill, outside Manassas, VA, moving to Florida in late 2022. 

Bert was born May 11, 1958, at Arlington Hospital, Arlington, VA, the eldest of three children of Albert H. Roseberry, Jr. and Virginia G. Roseberry. He grew-up on the family's Signal Hill Farm outside Manassas, and is a 1976 graduate of Osbourn High School where he was involved in many activities including Boys State and Key Club. He attended the US Coast Guard Academy, commissioned as an officer upon graduation in 1980. He proudly served aboard the historic USCGC Taney out of Portsmouth, VA, and was later stationed at District 8 HQ in New Orleans. He spent the majority of his civilian career with Coast Guard TISCOM in Alexandria, VA, retiring in 2018. 

Bert is survived by his mother, Virginia G. Roseberry; two younger brothers, Neal Roseberry of Reston, VA and Tedd Roseberry (Elana) of Charlotte, NC; his father's second wife Bettie Compton and stepsister Alison Caruso of Manassas, VA; and numerous cousins. 

Interment will be private, with a Celebration of Life yet to be scheduled.
