Life has been pretty interesting since graduation. I finished college and spent several years working my way through kitchens in Atlanta, Providence and Charleston.

About three years ago I settled back in the nyc area to work for Four Seasons. Around the same time I met my partners when they were looking for a recipe consultant for their first cookbook. I joined the team and as the first book was being published we formed Get Em' Girls Inc. The company serves as an umbrella that includes our cookbooks, a lifestyle website www.getemgirls.com, a small product line of aprons and spice blends, and my baby, Get Em' Girls Catering Company where i'm executive chef.

Aside from the company I'm working on a history project focused on the black contribution to American culinary arts which will hopefully grow into a non-profit foundation sometime during the fall of 2010 that would provide scholarships and mentorship programs to high school and college culinary students.

Well high school was a mixed bag. I was in ACT-SO all four years, so for me those times, my times spent with Mr. Brown in school and at programs like the Prudential summer camp, my time doing projects with Mr. Davis at Rutgers, Ms. Wing's Close-Up trip, and senior prom were pretty much my highlights.
