Very sad to read this and know of his long struggle.  Such a truly warm, accepting, all around nice person.  My thoughts are with his family and the no doubt many who counted him as a friend.

Sorry to hear this news.  He was always one of the easiest to get along with people I knew.  I was working at Battelle when Tom started there in the 70's and we ran into each other in a deep hidden hall way and laughed it was like walking the halls at NHS.

I've known Tom since 4th Grade. Greg Houser, Tom and I played little league football in the North Newark League. Tom was always a fun, gentle person.  Very smart and a Wonderful guy.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  Our loss here on earth is the Lord's gain.  My thought and prayers go out to Tom's family.

Tom was my first friend.  I remember when they moved in to the house on Stare Road.  We were not even four years old.  We were great companions, built model planes and did lots of crazy experiments.  We fancied ourselves scientists and then, he really was.   He is very much on my mind these days.
