A service in memory for Timothy J. McGinnis, 59, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W. Fifth Ave., Columbus, with Kate Shaner officiating.

He passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A 1966 graduate of Newark High School, McGinnis was a longtime resident of Grandview Heights and most recently of West Chester.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Jay & Elsie McGinnis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dana, son, Patrick, of Salem, W.Va.; daughter, Erin McGinnis, of Grandview Heights; stepsons, Brian (Melisa) Wendel and Justin (Shannon) Wendel; grandchildren, Hailee, Codey and Kyle Wendel' brother, Pat (Valerie), of Dayton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Edith McNary; brother-in-law, Michael (Nikki) McNary; sister-in-law, Marcie (Scott) Cambell; nieces,  Molly and Meredith McGinnis, of Dayton and Meaghan Cambell; nephews, Liam Cambell and Connor McNary; and many dear friends and business associates in Columbus, St. Louis and Cincinnati.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
