Harold "Tom" Eastman

Mass of Christian Burial for H. Thomas Eastman, 46, of Arlington, Va.,formerly of Newark, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of De Matha Catholic High School, Hyattsville, Md., where he was employed as student counselor and coach.

Local memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 24 in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, with Father Dean Mathewson officiating.

Mr. Eastman died Oct. 19, 1994. He was born March 24, 1948, in Fostoria,Ohio, to Harold Eastman of Denver, Colo. and Sherrie Eastman Haag of Newark.

He had a master's degree in education from Ohio University; and was employedin administration at Ohio University for several years. He also was in administration at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. for four years before accepting his current position at De Matha Catholic High School.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Eastman; his parents; two step-daughters: Marlene and Leigh Ann Graham of North Carolina; two brothers and one sister-in-law: James and Linda Eastman and Robert Eastman; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Patty and Randy Green and Carol and Thomas Gordon; alongwith nieces and nephews - all of Newark.

Friends may call  from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Criss-Kirkpatrick Funeral Chapel.
