Barbara J. Root, 67, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center, in Newark. She was born January 21, 1948, in Akron, the daughter of the late George and Frances (Hayes) Sayers.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis Root; children, Travis (Karen) Benner of Newark, Gavin Benner of St. Louisville, Dawn (Steven) Wells of Newark, Dionne Reynolds of Hebron; and her grandchildren, Orin Norris, Stephen Root, Brent Benner, Trentin Benner and Amy Gorley.
