Walter E. "Ed" Loughman

 

HEATH: A funeral service celebrating the life of Walter E. "Ed" Loughman, age 68, of Heath, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 3, at The Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Peggy Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.

Ed passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). He was born August 5, 1948 in Newark to the late Walter E. Loughman and Ida Mae (Baker) Grover of Newark.

Ed graduated from Newark High School in 1966. He retired from Dow Chemical after 35 years of service and worked part-time at Kroger in Hebron. He enjoyed fishing and sports, especially attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna D. Loughman, whom he married November 4, 1967; two sons, Don (Tami) Loughman of Heath and John (Christine) Loughman of Thornville; four grandchildren, Ashley, Gunner, Evan and Owen; and special feline buddy "Rocky"; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Lester R. Grover.

Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, at The Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath.
