I have experienced the Air Force, Navy and AZ Air National Guard, meet many great people and have awesome memories. After retiring from the Military I worked for American Airlines for awhile which was a real experience. Then in 2003 I made the decision to go back to school, for massage thereapy. I graduated the following year and have worked as a Massage Therapist for Hospice patients, Raytheon employees, made visits in homes and hotels and now I am self-employed, working from my home and working part time at a Spa. I love what I am now doing. There is so much satisfaction and joy in being part of other peoples recovery. I am constantly questioning who is getting more, my clients or myself. This career is a blessing in so many ways, in my own personal growth, and being given the gift of sharing and connecting with all my clients. It has and is truely amazing.
I am now in a serious relationship, after being on my own for a long while, (sometimes it takes awhile to mature to that level to be able to have one). But I am loving it and life. Things do and are getting better with age.
I have 3 great children, now adults, Sean my oldest Son who livies here in Tucson after serving 8 years in the Army, Lisle who is presently serving with the Army and is stationed in Tx with his wife and 3 children, (my grandbabies), and my beautiful daughter Amanda and is now planning her wedding for this Oct and also lives here in Tucson.
I have lived in Michigan, South Carolina, Texas, California and now Arizonia. I have been here in Tucson for 24 years and love it. The surrounding mountains, blue sky and lots of sunshine is so beautiful. The heat here can be alittle toasty, but like the say goes, "it is dry heat". The sunsets here are unbelievably glorious, every shade of color.
Overall living has been pretty great! I have had highs and lows, joy and sorrow, relationships, situations and experiences that has all contributed in my growth, full of opportunities to learn about myself, and become aware of what is truely important, so I can make different choices in being the best I can be for myself and others.
I do miss the green grass under my feet, and being able to go bare foot during the summer. Ohio is a beautiful place and it is always an exciting feeling I have in my stomach when those airplane wheel touch down in Columbus. I have and always will have a love of "home" in my heart for Newark no matter where I live.
