Carol J. Bowman, 67, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Sunday evening, May 10, 2015 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
Born May 22, 1947 in Newark, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Willey) Bodoh and was a 1965 graduate of Newark High School. Carol retired from Genesis Hospice where she was a health care aid and she was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Zanesville. She was a former member of the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department where she served many years as an E. M. T. She loved the outdoors, especially flower gardening and she was an avid collector of angels.
Surviving is her husband, Gary Bowman of Frazeysburg; two daughters, Beth Bowman of Frazeysburg and Samantha (Robby) Bishop of Nashport; a granddaughter, Ariah Bishop; one brother, William (Jan) Bodoh of Bluffton, South Carolina; six sisters, Evelyn (Les) Ragan and Sue (Ray) Yearsley, both of The Villages, Florida, Molly Belli of Union, Kentucky, Karen (Don) Green of Nashport, Vicki (Bill) Cochran of Terre Haute, Indiana and Joy Bodoh of Tampa, Florida; her very special friend, Frances Preston of Frazeysburg and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother in-law, Mitz Belli.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, May 15, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Dupler officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice or to the First Church of the Nazarene of Zanesville.
