Pamela J. Zaebst, age 78, of Columbus, died Saturday, June 13, 2026, at her residence from natural causes.

Over her career, she was employed by the Columbus Metropolitan Library, OCLC, The Ohio Historical Society and the American Chemical Society, from which she retired in 2018. She was an avid reader and was active in organizations advocating for adoptee rights and progressive political causes. Pam was a true original, a bright, caring, compassionate person with a quirky sense of humor, who will be missed by all who knew her well. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Esther (Mathews) Donaldson, previously of Newark, OH. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Clinton Dashiell; sister, Rita Donaldson, Laconia, NH; nephew, Bradley (Alicia) Pernaw, Manchester, NH; niece, Darci (Corey) Dormitzer, Amherst, NH; numerous cousins and extended family. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 East Johnstown Road, where friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M.
