Ann Marshall Lawton Hardy MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. -- Ann Hardy died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at her home in Melbourne Beach, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Col. Thomas Lawton and Mrs. Julia Gresham Lawton and the widow of Larry Hardy. She graduated from Lander College in 1970 and taught at Blake and Oakland (Rice) Elementary Schools. Ann attended the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, where she was a youth leader, taught Sunday School, and was an active member of the ECW. After moving to Florida, she joined Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Family Choir and Daughters of the King. In retirement, she volunteered at the Senior Food Ministry and the church Thrift Shop. She is survived by her daughters, Jenny Lawton Seal (husband Jason), and Katie Knotts, and granddaughters, Avery and Harper. Services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Melbourne. Interment is Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill, SC. Memorials may be made to Episcopal Church of the Resurrection Youth Ministry Program.

Ann Lawton Hardy, 68, passed away on 1/13/16 in Melbourne, FL. She was the daughter of Colonel Tom and Julia Lawton. The Colonel was the commander of the Newark Air Base. She was a beloved teacher at the Sherwood Elementary School. She is survived by her daughters, Jenny (Jason) and Katie; granddaughters Avery and Harper; brothers Stan and Jim (Yvonne). She was predeceased by her parents and brother Dicky.
