ST. LOUISVILLE: A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Sharon Ann O'Reilly, age 68, of St. Louisville, will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Barnes Cemetery.
Sharon was born in Newark on August 11, 1947 to the late Bobby Penick and Mary (Martin) Lane. She passed away on December 25, 2015 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
Prior to retirement, she was a seamstress and housekeeper with Denison University for over 20 years. She was a devoted volunteer EMT with the Mary Ann Township Fire Department for over 40 years. Sharon was a member of the Newark Ancient Order of Druids, Newark Eagles Auxiliary #387, Newark Moose Lodge and the Newark Mannerchor, where she enjoyed singing. She enjoyed cruising vacations, line dancing and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Survivors include her two sons, Christopher (Kendra) O'Reilly and Michael (Rachel) O'Reilly; grandchildren, Austin, Tanner, Jack and Kelsey; brothers and sisters, Melody Penick, Cheryl Maier, Tom (Cheri) Penick, David Penick, Vickie (Jim) Abbott and Jennie Booth; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack O'Reilly in 1996; brother, Johnny Penick; and by her mother who raised her, Helen Dankmer.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sharon to the Mary Ann Township Fire Department, 6099 Fallsburg Road NE, Newark, Ohio 43055. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
