SHARON HENDEL Sharon "Sherry" Hendel, 60, of Perrysburg, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 18, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee.

She was born in Newark, Ohio, on April 5, 1947, to Ralph and Mary Ellen Rector and was married on June 14, 1969, in Perrysburg, to Gregory Hendel.
She was a 1965 graduate of Newark High School, graduating first in her class of 564. She received a bachelor of science in education degree (1968) and a master of arts in teaching (mathematics) degree (1972) from Bowling Green State University.

She earned her juris doctorate degree from the University of Toledo in 1994 and became a certified financial planner in 2000. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mrs. Hendel was a math and computer science teacher in Perrysburg, Bowling Green and Maumee public schools. She was a law clerk for Sylvania Municipal Court Judge M. Scott Ramey and for Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Judge Frederick McDonald.

From 1995 until January of 2007, she was a partner in the law firm of Croy & Hendel, LLP with offices in Perrysburg and Waterville, concentrating on estate planning, probate administration, tax planning and real estate. She was currently a member of the law firm of Robinson Curphey & O'Connell.
Mrs. Hendel was a member of the Ohio State, Michigan, Lucas County, Toledo and Wood County bar associations.
