Nancy S. Barnett, age 66, of Newark, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born June 25, 1947 in Newark to the late John and Ruth (Crow) Baker.

Nancy retired after 22 years of service from the Newark Public Library as the Clerk/Treasurer. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dan A. Barrett II; two sons, Dan (Lindsey) Barnett III and Michael (Tammy) Barnett; three grandchildren, Ethan, Mikie and Misty Barnett; uncle, William (Narcy) McKinney; and aunt, Peti (Mel) Rector.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Dr., Heath, OH 43056.

At her request no calling hours or services will be observed.
