Today Sunday Aug.3rd Grand Rapids Press has a nice memorial for Mandy by her Mom and sister. Scripture Psalms:121 and a very nice picture. It's been 5years since her passing. As I reflect on Mandy, I remember her very unique laugh, it was very deep and genuine. She was missed @ the reunion, our most likely to succeed. God Bless her and her family in their loss. Paula

Mandy and I were good friends in elementary. I used to go to her house and remember that it was so big and beautiful. Her room was every young girls dream. She was always so fashionable and a trendsetter. When she got braces, I even envied her - I wanted them too!! Even though she had a big house and nice things, you would've never known because she treated everyone the same with respect and kindness. She was a wonderful person with a GREAT BIG SMILE!!

You are so right Brigette...Mandy always treated everyone with kindness and respect. It was her kindness in inviting the "new kid from Detroit" to a sledding party at her house when we were in 8th grade that helped break the ice for me, and I will always remember that. It was that party that led me to say the immortal phrase (when observing a dripping hot dog), "uhhh, wiener juice!"
