What a hard time for so many of us.  I'm not one to wish away time, but I'm looking forward to next year, hoping that a new year brings a new start to us all.  Heres wishing you all a great Christmas, and a better New Year.  Take some time to enjoy what you have, and work on what you want to see change.  I hope you all have safe travels, and, in the words of Tiny Tim "God bless us everyone".

Thank you so much for the love and support that the community of Newaygo gave to our family. It's nice to know even when the years have gone by that we can still call Newaygo home. I'm with Mitzi, the arrangement was beautiful and very comforting. Sherry will be missed so much, but I'm doing ok. I have a very supportive family and my Catholic Faith to hold me up and get me through. God Bless everyone with a very "Merry Christmas" and a "Happy New Year"........

January....mid point.

Great snow today.....

My shovel got it's workout after coming home from the farm.

The babies peeked out long enough this early a.m. to eat,  then retreated back into their straw bedded hutches.

Mitzi, Now it is the beginning of Feb. with the blizzard will the calves even come out to eat? Hope all goes well with the new job. As for me, being in the grocery business the last few days have been crazy, you'd think people in Grandville wouldn't be able to eat for weeks. Thank you weathermen for causing an economic boom. Well, tomorrow is my day off and Kayla has a snow day, so it's puzzle and laundry.......life is good! :)

I'm reading the GR press and see where Newaygo is going to host the 2011 National canoe and kayak championships on the Muskegon River. Good for Newaygo....... might just have to check it out in August. I hope Mitzi will compete! :)

"It was a great time", she said with sarcasm in her voice, "caring for the calves in the winter's first blizzard".

But not a one froze!  :)

As for the river races.....sign Barb up!

I'm sorry I couldn't make it. The move went well, but as most moves go, it was pretty exhausting. Feeling my age??  I think so!  : )
