Happy Birthday Terri.... Houseboating on Hardy is a riot, my Dad had a houseboat out there about 15 years ago we use to have a great time. Good way to celebrate......And how about an updated picture of you and your granddaughter?

As for my week at Traverse, I'm back early...... my husband's back and my foot, just had us gimping around not enjoying all we could be and feeling all of our 50 years. Plus it was cold and we were not prepared for that. But, we did see the Blue Angels practicing today before we headed home. Wow..... always a good show..... I'll get back to Petoskey to pick up Kayla later in the week. Hoping my heel is better by then.......

I went to Blues on the Mall last night in GR with friends. The featured band, Tommy Castro Band.

Fun time in the city. GREAT people watching and dancing and it's FREE!!! 4 Wednesday night concerts left for the summer with 4 different artists.

Mitzi, I've always wanted to go to Blues on the Mall, but Wednesday is my golf night (for the past 5 years) - maybe next year I will just have to skip a golf night sometime. Where did you park when you were there?

Wed. is usually my night off, though this week my family and I are taking in a Whitecaps game. My first one of the year...... But, I would meet you downtown some other Wed. night if you let me know in advance. I could give Debbie Sturgeon a call too. Keep me posted.... and what about the float on Hardy? Where did Terri go..... can't get her off the boat!

Concerts at Rosa Parks Circle begin at 6:30 and end before dark. Bring lawn chairs, I brought a small cooler with water, vendors around for food. We just parked in nearby lots or ramps.

Mitzi, it's time your kids let you on facebook. Justin finally relented and signed me up. It's very interesting, I'm still trying to get use to it. Anyway hope to see you there soon.

I'm going to plan on the 4th, do you think I could bring my 13 year old? And I will try to get a hold of Debbie and see how she's doing. I hope this works out it would be nice to see you.

Sorry Martha, I haven't heard a thing on how the Roadhouse gathering went. Wasn't able to get there. How's it going in AZ..... a little on the toasty side. Stay in and stay cool. We've had some cooler weather, we finally turned our air off for a few days. Summer is going fast a furious....still so much to do, don't know if I'll get to everything I'd like. I do like to get to Newaygo for one visit and that hasn't happened yet, so I'll still try to work on that.

Enjoying some great Fall weather here in Michigan...... Are you ready for some football? MSU vs ND....the game of the week for me..... gotta go for ND Sat. want Coach Kelly to do good. Now if ND would've beat Michigan, I might of swayed the other way or if this was basketball...... Call me Irish for the day! Go Green! kinda fits too! To tell the truth I'm kinda torn on this one...... Anyway ya just gotta enjoy the season.

Of course!! Go Green, and they did not disappoint! Though I was working and couldn't watch the game, my husband filled me in on the details when I got home......

I'm sure the colors are in full bloom in the Newaygo area!!! Enjoy the season  the color is just getting started here in Wyoming, I live in the Buck Creek area, so we do get some nice color here too and with all the warm weather and sunshine it's a great time to live in Michigan..... Mitzi, did you come down to GR for Artprise? I guess the crowds were big, but the people I've talked to say the waits were worth it. I didn't make it and it's in my own backyard. Oh well, always next year I guess.

Paula, I did get to Meijer Garden to see the Chihuly blown glass exhibit and was able to see the Art Prize entries displayed there( the day before it started). I made it to the last Sunday of Art Prize for the afternoon, and the downtown was hop'n. It would have been nice to have had another day to really take it in.

Next year is coming.......let's do some planning as it approaches to get a group together for free concerts or other fun!

 The weather has been great! The color something special. Now all that color is making its vertical drop to a horizontal canvas and I stand ready to rake it up!

Let me thank all of you for your loving support with the passing of my Father. The beautiful Autumn floral arrangement is a reminder of just how blessed I am and we are as a family, to have such thoughtful caring friends. For this I am truly grateful. The many kind words of remembrance were so appreciated......My heart is full.

Terri.....Go Northern Wildcats! Trey definately needs to pay a visit. I'm not quite sure when I will be going again.......but if I go soon I'll let you know....the boy likes winter, right? Lynn Leblanc's son also went to Northern and was in the same dorm as my daughter Brittany. Lynn and I discovered that when we were moving our kids out at the end of a school year. Imagine our surprise after not seeing each other for MANY years!
