Well, I do have a brother and sister-in-law that live just outside of Nashville in Brentwood, where all the spring flowers have been washed away. Have you seen the pictures of the flooding? It's crazy. But, here in good ole' Michigan, spring is in full bloom, beautiful. OK, I will stop and smell the flowers today, after my nap ;).
Earthquakes!!! Mining disasters!!!! Oil Spills!!! Floods!!!! And here in Arizona we just have political disasters and Al Sharpton....hmmmm those others don't sound all that bad actually.....;)

YAY Arizona makes the national news....and in such a wonderful way...
Welll seee this is what happens when your ineffective govenor moves on to be the Director of Homeland Security (and oh my hasn't she done great things there - not so much)... and your Secretary of State gets bumped up to govenor (reportedly one of the few, if not only govenors without a college degree - not that that's a requirement to do a good job - but folks are happy to point it out ;)) And now - she's up for re-election - sooooo time to make waves and get noticed for doing "something" other than just cutting education and public safety budgets - oh yeah if you're passing through our lovely state a couple of updates - well... the rest areas are still closed - but the state parks are gonna stay open - and after July 15th the photo radar on the highways will be gone (didn't make as much revenue as it should - yeah blew the "public safety" arguement for those) the cities still will have them for speeding and red light running - but people won't be slamming on their brakes while doing 75 on the freeway. There you have a minor political and tourist update for the State of Arizona....oh and it's supposed to be 89 and sunny here today - but Phoenix has an ozone warning - so STAY INSIDE!!! :)
Yes, stay inside and run the air conditioner..... is that good for the ozone? The Michigan way is not to mow your lawn or put gas in your car..... I think that's it, there could be more. I'm not sure if anyone follows the rules. As for someone who sleeps during the day, someone is always mowing!!! Ozone or no ozone!!! I dream lawnmowers............
haha! Paula, I live in the thriving metropolis of Newaygo in my Grandmothers OLD house. It sits about 6 feet off M-37 going thru town...right at the bottom of the hill where trucks come flying down the hill making all kinds of noise downshifting [and whatever else they do when they're going too fast] and motorcycles and cars with noisy mufflers that floor it going UP the hill and trains go by across the street at all hours of the day and night...ohhhh to live in the country.
So what are the plans for the holiday in Newaygo? I'll be playing golf in San Clemente on Saturday and Aliso Viejo on Monday, working on renovating our laundry room and taking time out on Monday to focus on the veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice. It sounds like we are both going to have great weather for outdoor activities!
I was able to get a day-trip in today out to Holland Beach.....nice.... a little chilly though. Kayla and I had a nice time in the shops in downtown Zeeland too. Just doing something different for a change..... I had a rare 2 days off in a row, had to take advantage of it... and so we did...
By accident is usually how the computer works for me!!!!
Finding a picture of me is the tricky part, I'm usually on the taking side of picture taking!! Well, it's you and me Mitzi blazing a new trail..... in messaging.
And looking mighty fine for the big 50 I might say!!
