School Story:

One of my high school memories is about Sue Wallace. She loved to chew bubble gum but didn't like to start a new piece. It was "too hard to chew", she said. So she would give me a new piece of bubble gum, have me chew it for a few minutes to soften it, and then give it back to her to chew!

Hi, Barb! Sorry I missed your big day. I just moved from Florida to Newport News, VA and not quite organized yet. I hope you had a great birhday . . . a big 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from me.

Hi, Dave! I see today's your big day. The big 75? I'll be right behind you in a couple of weeks. I hope the Easter Bunny was good to you this morning and that the rest of your birthday celebration is as great as you are!

Hey, Bob
Just a short note to say "Happy Birthday" and many, many more. Are you digging yourself out of the snow this week? I remember when it used to be "fun", but luckily I got over it . . .
Luv ya,
Sandy

Hi, Nita!
Long time no see. Not since the class reunion before the last one. When I saw it was your birthday coming up, I was reminded of the fun "sweet sixteen" birthday party you threw for me at your house and the whole gang was there. I still have a picture! Those were fun times . . . I hope you, Bob, and the boys are all well. Have a fantastic birthday! You deserve the best!
Luv,
Sandy

Hi, Hank
It's so many years since I've seen or talked with you. I still consider those high school years when we went to football games to watch you, Dave and Ray play. And the parties at your house and mine. Christmas at your house was so special, the way you put candles on the tree and everyone stood around the tree watching them burn and drinking shots of something (?) followed immediately by slices of lemon. Life was so simple then . . . Anyway, hope your birthday is great and that you, Sandi and your children are all well.
Best regards,
Sandy

Hi, Dave So . . . another year's rolled around. My neighbor is celebrating her 100th birthday in August and, I swear, she gets around better than I do! Think we can make it to 100? Do we really want to . . . ? Anyway, I was thinking just yesterday about our "youth" and we had the most wonderful group of friends! Youth Fellowship, softball games, parties at my house, bowling (gosh I miss bowling!) and of course, the pizza afterwards. If I could go back anywhere in time, it would be those last years of high school and how simple life was then. Ooops. Afraid I'm getting too nostalgic. Have a great birthday, Dave! I'm thinking of you. Luv, Sandy
