I graduated from Catholic University of America in DC with a degree in Social Work and English. I volunteered for a year in Zambia in south central Africa in 2004. I have been working for a great non-profit, the Center for Human Development, in Springfield MA as a foster care social worker for over 3 years. And most importantly, I got married to Mark Zatyrka on October 11, 2008!! We have planned the local AIDS Walk of Western Massachusetts for the past two years, which raised $62,000 last year. I am also on the Board of Directors for the Colburn-Keenan Foundation which helps individuals with chronic diseases. I just did my first triathlon in July 2008 and am doing it again this summer! On Memorial Day this year, I rode 130 miles in 2 days on my bicycle in Angel Ride, which benefits the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
