Susan Walton Slater

I taught at the college level for 38 years (usually part time) and spent a great deal of time in the defense industry working for both the Dept. of Defense and Dept. of Energy. Now I write full time. My first novel was published in 1999 and #7 last summer (2009). I primarily write mysteries but 0 to 60 is women's fiction--some of which takes place in Newton. My paranormal short story has been selected for the Rod Serling 50th Anniversary of Twilight Zone commemorative anthology. It will be published by Tor/Forge 2010. The second in the Dan Mahoney mystery series after Flash flood will be out in 2011 as will a new Ben Pecos. It's unbelievably hard work but I can't imagine doing anything else!
