Dean Heckendorn of North Newton, died Saturday, March 22, 2025. He was born June 19, 1941, to Norman and Alice Jane Heckendorn. He was married to Carolyn Carroll, who preceded him in death. They were both past members and past presidents of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Dean served his country as a proud Marine. He had a green thumb and loved watching things grow. He also loved putting on magic shows or dressing as Dino the Clown for many different events. Survivors include his sister, Susie Alderson of Port Charlotte, Fl. Nephews, Terry and wife Diana Alderson, of Valley Center, KS. Scott and wife Christy Alderson of Chandler, AZ. Six great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews.Other survivors include stepson Chris and wife TinaCarroll of Spring, TX. Step-grandsons C.J.Carroll of Conroe TX. and Caleb Carroll of Spring TX. One step-great-grandson and one step-great-granddaughter. The family wishes to thank the friends and staff at Kidron Bethel Village for their many kindnesses.
