Glenna Stuckey, 81, of Norwich, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.  

Visitation with family present 6-7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 and Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, both at the First Baptist Church, 1213 N. Sycamore Rd Milton, Kansas. 

Graveside Committal Service at 2:00 p.m. Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 US-54, Wichita, Kansas. (Garden of Freedom)

Glenna Marie (Mathews) Stuckey was born February 11, 1944 at Newton, Kansas to Horace Niles Mathews and Cora (Runnells) Mathews. Glenna grew up in Newton and attended Newton public schools. She graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1962. She continued her education and attended Wichita Business College. 

Glenna was united in marriage to Jimmy Duane Stuckey on January 3, 1965 at McPherson, Kansas. They made their home in north Wichita where they were blessed with two children. 

Glenna first worked as a waitress in Newton and later Beech Aircraft where she was a member of the “Golden Bees” for many years. She began working as a key punch operator and later in data processing. She retired as a processing engineer after being with the company for 41 years.

Glenna always dreamed of a larger home and following retirement, she and Jim moved to west Wichita. They later moved to Norwich, Kansas in the spring of 2020.  Jim passed away April 22, 2025.

Glenna served as secretary of the 4 Square Church, volunteered at Rainbows United, Big Brothers and Big Sisters delivered Meals on Wheels. She became active in the Norwich community and was involved in many different groups including Prayer Warriors, CCW Bible Study and ACAP.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Horace, Warren, Bill, Larry and Merm Mathews; three sisters: Addis Kay and Marilyn Mathews, Elaine Davis and a great grandson Cooper Masters.

Glenna is survived by her daughter Kristina Masters and husband Terrence of Derby, Kansas; Her son David Stuckey of Norwich, Kansas; her brother Loran Mathews of Astoria, Oregon; four grandchildren: Maria, Christopher, Marcus and Cody; seven great grandchildren: Cora, Paisley, Wyatt, Everleigh, Teaghan, Oliver and Nixon and many nieces and nephews.
