David W. Spencer, 62, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital in Newton.  He was recovering from smoke inhalation resulting from his home fire when he died.  He is survived by his brother, Charles Spencer of Newton, and a niece, Carie Schmidt of Newton. 

He as proceeded in death by his parents and a sister, Catherine Schmidt.
