Robert R. Dickson, 51, 606 SE Third St,  insurance salesman, died Friday (March 1, 1996) at his residence

He was born April 28, 1944 in Newton to C.L. and Maxine G. Gates Dickson.  They survive of Newton.  he married Karen K. Goering on August 28, 1987 in Newton.  She survives.

He was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Newton.

Prior to his experience as an insurance salesman, Dickson worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue as an administrative assistant to the last elected state printer in 1966.  As an insurance salesman, he worked for American Investors Life, National Life Insurance Co. and Standard Life Insurance Co. of Oklahoma, all of Topeka.  His latest employment was with Patrick Industries.

Other survivors include two sons, Robert R "Randy" II of Lawrence and Sean A. of Overland Park; one daughter, Shelly Ann Dickson of Maple Hill; one stip-daughter, Crystal Goering of Newton; one brother, Jerry W. Dickson of Carefree, Arizona, and three half-brothers, John, Ronnie and Don Dickson, all of Newton; and a half-sister, Connie Kinser of Newton.
