John Mark Rushing, 69, of Lake Dallas passed away at home Saturday, March 22, 2014. John was born December 25, 1944, in the Ancon Panama Canal Zone to John and Mary Lou Rushing.

John served four years in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany.

John began working with Otis Engineering in the south Louisiana oil fields in 1976 and retired in 1994 at the Dallas headquarters as Quality Improvement Coordinator reporting directly to the company President.

John is survived by his wife, Micki; daughter, Wendy Bouamra of Paris, France, her husband Oussama; son, Christopher, of Krum, his wife Cassie; brother, James Rushing, of St. Louis, MO, his wife Carol; grandson, Gabriel Andrew Bouamra; grandson, Adrian Mark Bouamra; granddaughter, Eloise Lynn Bouamra.

A private memorial for the immediate family will be held in July.
