James Thomas Toher, “Skip”, 79 of Ashland passed away on Monday October 27, 2025. Son of the late Robert G. Toher and Esther (Batey) Toher.
Skip is survived by his loving wife of 54 years W. Jeanne (Pennington) Toher. Skip was an automobile technician and for 25 years the proud owner of Newtonville Sunoco.
In addition to his loving wife Jeanne, Skip is survived by his son Christopher J. Toher of Haverhill and his sister Janice (Toher) Rapp of Natick, plus a large extended loving family.
A celebration of Skip’s life will be held Tuesday, November 18th at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. Visiting hours will be held at 10 am prior to the 11:00 am service. A private burial will follow.
