Corrina Kay Kappel Buck, 48, passed away Sept. 2, 2013, at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 9, 1965, in Hutchinson, Kan., the daughter of Frederick and Joan Kappel.
She worked as a debt collector and processor by trade. A graduate of Nickerson High School, she also attended Hutchinson COMMUNITY COLLEGE. A devoted mother she enjoyed cooking, playing with scratch off lottery tickets, and collected Women's Day magazines. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Richard Danford; a daughter, Sara Logan of Maize, Kan.; two sons, Blake Buck and Tanner Evans of Hutchinson; two brothers, John Kappel of Hutchinson, and Shannon Kappel of South Carolina; a stepbrother, Mark Danford of Emporia, Kan.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents.

CUNNINGHAM - Shelly D. Cochran, 49, of Cunningham, passed away Nov. 2, 2014, in Cunningham. She was born Jan. 20, 1965, in Russell, Kan., the daughter of Gary and Carole Brack.
She was a graduate of Nickerson High School, a homemaker and had been a waitress for several community restaurants, where she had a passion for and loved serving her customers. She loved showing horses and was a former member of the KWHA. Most of all she was a proud No. 1 fan of all of her eight children and three grandchildren. On Oct. 17, 1992, she married Claude Cochran in Hutchinson. He survives of the home. Other survivors include: her children, Ashley Williams (Jeremy) of Hutchinson, Austin Chansler (Megan) of Arlington, and Allie, Alexie, Aiden, Arik, Ashtin, Azeke, all of Cunningham; her father, Gary (Pam) of Turon; two brothers, Gene Brack (Dana) of Turon, Cory Brack (Kelsey) of Cheney; a sister, Kelly Brack of Turon; and three grandchildren, Zade, Hadley and Axton. She was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers, Terry Brack and Steve Smith.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Hutchinson. There will be a book to sign from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Cochran Children’s Fund, in care of First National Bank of Cunningham, 101 E. First, Cunningham, KS 67035.

Brian Joseph Henning, 47, died Oct. 15, 2012, at his home. He was born May 15, 1965, in Garden City to Marvin W. and Shirley LuAnn (Boepple) Henning.
On Aug. 25, 1990, he married Deanna Lyn Sorensen.
Brian was a farmer and worked at Cargill Salt for 14 years and for Morton Salt for 10 years. He attended Sterling Evangelical Bible Church and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America.
Survivors include: wife, Deanna Henning; son, Steven D. Henning; daughter, Amanda L. Henning, all of the home; mother, Shirley L. Bundy; two brothers, Kevin W. Henning and Rex D. Henning, all of Hutchinson; and sister, Angela M. McMillan, McPherson. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin W. Henning.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Tim Elsner officiating. As per Brian's wishes, cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to the Brian Henning Memorial Fund in care of the mortuary.

NICKERSON -- Michelle Jean ‘Shelley’ Scott, 51, died Monday, August 7, 2017, at her home in rural Nickerson. She was born August 10, 1965, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Clarence E. and Delores J. (Lovett) Carey. Shelley attended Nickerson High School and worked as a Veterinarian’s Assistant at Westside Veterinary Clinic and operated her own pet grooming business. She loved being outdoors and camping, as well as her dogs. But most of all, Shelley loved her grandchildren. She was a member of South Hutchinson Christian Church.
Michelle J. ‘Shelley’ Scott

On December 27, 1983, Shelly married Larry Scott in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: daughter, Lacey Ford and husband Brandon of Hutchinson; son, Levi Scott of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Lillian Holeman, Lyndzi Scott, Brindlee Coon, Khalia Scott, Kaedon Scott; sister, Cynthia Carey of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; granddaughter, Autymn Givens-Scott; and brothers, Keith Carey and Dennis Carey.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the family present to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
