William Thomas Maier Obituary

William Thomas Maier passed away on May 7, 2014, while a resident of Parkhouse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Royersford after a long illness.

Bill was born on Jan. 3, 1952, the son of the late John and Gladys (Dando) Maier, formerly of West Norriton Township. He attended Norristown schools and was a graduate of the former A.D. Eisenhower Senior High School, Class of 1969. Bill also attended Montgomery County Community College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University in 1975.

Bill worked in the facilities management field most notably for Franklin Mint and Conestoga Construction Custom.

Bill is survived by his brothers, Robert E. Maier and John D. Maier (Patricia), both of Collegeville. He is also survived by nieces Melissa Santori (Christopher) of West Norriton, Rebecca Thomas of Perkiomen Twp., and Caitlin, Rachel and Sarah Maier also of Collegeville; and three great-nephews. Bill always enjoyed times with family and friends particularly at picnics and travel to destinations in the U.S.

Visitation with family will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, from 11 a.m. - 12 noon with Memorial Service at noon at the Caramenico FH Inc., Main & Walnut Sts., Ntn., Pa. A luncheon will follow at Justin's Carriage House, 3911 Skippack Pike, Skippack, Pa. Interment in Riverside Cemetery will be private at a later date at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to recognize the staff at Parkhouse for the support and caring Bill received in the final years of his life and asks that memorial contributions be made in Bill's name to Parkhouse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 1600 Black Rock Road, Royersford, PA 19468.
