She received a Master of Arts in Education degree from Arcadia University in 1977. Jane enthusiastically served public education in Montgomery County for 40 years. She started as a teacher of Spanish and English to Middle and High School Students in the Methacton School District. In the 1980's she transitioned to administration, serving Methacton as Director of Personnel and Public Relations. After 22 years with Methacton, in 1995 she joined the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit as Director of Personnel and was later promoted to Assistant Executive Director. Jane was active in numerous professional organizations, twice serving as President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Association of School Personnel Administrators and in 2004 - 2005 as President of the Pennsylvania Association of School Personnel Administrators. In 2008 PASPA gave Jane the Dowler Award, recognizing a practicing personnel professional who possesses the qualities and skills demonstrated by outstanding personnel administrators. In February, 2013, although too ill to accept the award in person, Jane received the PASPA President's Award, recognizing individuals who, among other things, have served as role models and mentors for those new to the field of human resources. Jane's pleasures were the novels of Jane Austen, gardening, and visiting Stone Harbor, NJ. Jane's greatest devotion, however, was to her family. She is survived by Bucky, her husband of thirty years, and Michael, her son residing in Hamilton, NY. Also surviving are brothers, Stephen H. and Peter D.
