Betty Jo "BJ" Fisher 

Betty Jo "BJ" Fisher, age 57, of Gordonville, while surrounded by her family, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 20, 2009. She was the wife of Abram K. Fisher, Jr. with whom she celebrated 33 years of marriage on October 2nd of last year. She was born in Norristown, PA, daughter of the late Joseph & Georgetta Zakoura Parente. She was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise where in the past she was active with the AWANA program and was a prayer warrior. BJ was a Teacher, Registered Nurse, musician and was a caregiver for the last 11 years for her oldest son, Justin. She was a graduate of Ursinus College of Collegeville and Thomas Jefferson University School of Nursing. 

Surviving besides her husband are 3 sons: Justin J. Fisher at home, Seth A. husband of Suzanne Yoder Fisher of Cable, WI and Matthew G. Fisher at home, 1 grandson Owen Ivan Fisher, sister: Debbie A. wife of Pat Heyer of Paradise. 

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 23rd, at 11 a.m. from the Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA with Rev. Robert Reid officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery on Saturday at approximately 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Disabilities Services, P.O. Box 10485, Lancaster, PA 17605-0485. Arrangements by the Shivery Funeral Home, Christiana & Paradise.
