Susan Gatti

Susan Hunt Gatti, age 58 of Esperance, passed away at her home Saturday, Nov. 29, 2009, surrounded by friends and family after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Norristown, the daughter of the late Arthur and Betty Jane (Adams ) Hunt.

Susan was a graduate of AD Eisenhower High School and attended nursing school at Sacred Heart Hospital in 1972.

She worked in several different hospitals throughout the Philadelphia and metropolitan area, and later became a private duty nurse working primarily with children.

Susan strived to want to help others and always wanted to be the best mother, wife and friend possible. She loved and was supportive to anyone that knew her.

Susan is predeceased by one brother, Michael Hunt.

She is survived by her husband Glenn Gatti, whom she married on April 4, 1981; one son, Matthew A. Gatti of Esperance; a sister, Carin Talon of Collegeville; several nieces, nephews and many loving friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church, 3050 Ridge Pike, Eagleville.

A gathering will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. prior to the service.

Contributions may be made in Susan’s name to the Potsdam College Foundation, 44 Pierrepont Ave., Potsdam, NY 13676. Please indicate that the contributions is in memory of Susan. A scholarship will be given to an aspiring tubist who will be attending the Crane School of Music.
