John Neil

Married 39 years , have 1champion golden retriever, swim him at Dewey Beach,DE every year and Erie,PA. Have had to say good-bye sadly to seven of the eight Goldens we have had since 1991, I am convinced they have souls and are the greatest companions you could have.Will see them when we all meet again in heaven as per Popes John Paul II and Francis.I consider them all to be our children.Rev. Billy Graham has said that our Lord God wants us to be happy and if reuniting with our beloved dogs accomplishes this, then they will meet us in heaven.

Andrew Charles Neil B.A. Physics/Duquesne U. and B.S. Mech Eng. Pitt, MS ME Pitt and now a PE (professional engineer).I was at Neely Funeral Home, Glenshaw,PA since 3/1/84 and was with the Ott Funeral Home ,Irwin 1979-1984 as student and intern.Joe Ott was my second father, mentor and great friend.Our granddaughter, Lena Jane Neil was born on January 28,2019 and grandson, Brendan John Neil on June 7, 2021 by J. Curtis,II and wife Dr. Stasia Roberts-Neil,DO and Audrey Faith Neil born March 6,2024 to Andrew and Kaelyn Neil.

My two sons are my greatest accomplishments as they will be far greater than I. McCorkle,Boes, Rizzardi,Gillis,Nancy Matko,Gardner,McKnight,Reese,Cornell,Vernail,Moore,Elaine Potts, Nancy Shorsher,but the greatest of these was one John B. Polivka whom I would have emulated had I not become a funeral director. Mr. P made history come alive as he remains the single greatest teacher I have ever had, including college.Rest in peace Mr. P. Our heroes await you in heaven to thank you for telling their stories.I am a student of the American Civil War to this day.Many thanks to Jerry Vernail for my interest in politics and economics.He was also a great friend and hunting buddy.
