Friday, September 23, 2011 - NRHS vs Elyria Football Game at the new NRHS Stadium

Unbelievably, the rain held off for our reunion kickoff event at the new NRHS Stadium.     Classmates who attended this event were Sharon DiNunzio, Cheryl Kaminecki, Brent Clark, Joe Dillon, Sandy Zimlich, Howard Renker, Matt Ambrose, Sandy Zaucha, Mark Lilak, Monica Kopchock and Cheryl Lutz.       We also had a surprise visit by Charles Gibson (Gibby) who was also attending the game with this family.   By the way, the Bears won, 30-14. 

At halftime, most of the group left the game to meet up with others at Tony Maloney's.     Cheryl Maust, Joe Kloscak, Sue Spiewak, Linda Shoaf, Paula Schrumpf, Rita Rock, Karen Damm, Jan Herron, Monica Kopchock, Joe Dillon, Glen Rozum, Howard Renker, Sandy Zimlich, Mark Lilak, Richard Vozar, Brent Clark, Cheryl Lutz, Sandy Zaucha, Cheryl Kaminecki, Fran Gehring, Sharon DiNunzio, Michael Matusek, Deborah Rozum, Linda Schmidt and Laura Zingale had a great time mingling way past our bedtimes. 
 

Saturday, September 24, 2011
- Tour of the High School.  Sam Grida-Assistant Principal provided an 1 1/2 hour tour of the school.     Barbara Kelland, Dave Esper, Fran Gehring, Howard Renker, Joe Dillon, Laura Zingale, Brent Clark, Dennis Russo, Glen Rozum, Mark Lilak and Steve Harmath attended the tour.    We are sure Sam enjoyed hearing all of the prank stories told by our group during the tour.  

The main event at Scorchers kicked off around 7pm.  We had an amazing turnout!!  

82 classmates attended.  Additionally classmate guests and other NR alumni also joined in for some fun.       

Shellie Shaker was the lucky winner of the 50/50 drawing!  Congratulations Shellie!

The group had fun mingling, eating wings, pizza and other goodies.    Sharon DiNunzio put a great slideshow of pictures from our yearbook and past reunion.     The DJ played a few songs from the 70's including Locomotion.   Wayne Louis gathered the group up for a locomotion train and Brent Clark led the group in a big circle on the dance floor, making Sandy Zimlich dizzy.   There were some regulars on the dance floor - Sharon, Wayne, Denise, Cheryl K, Gerald, Rich, and Pam were lighting up the dance floor.    Dan LeHoty took some class photos of the group.  Thanks Dan!     Will share those in the near future.
